Introducing Liz Weber

Today I am bubbling over with excitement! You are probably wondering why?!? Well I get to announce our new design team member to the team! Yay!

The Inspired by Stamping team is amazing and one that I am so proud of. We have such amazing ladies from all around the world designing for IBS and our newest DT is from Australia!

Liz Weber, from Card Creations by Liz Weber, is super talented and has the most gorgeous designs as you will see below! Without further ado here is Liz Weber in her own words…

Hi my name is Liz Weber, I am a 40 something SAHM to Zane (10) and Sabrina (7). I live in Brisbane, Queensland.

I started scrapbooking approx 9 years ago but turned to cardmaking about 4 years ago.

I love all things ribbon, flowers, bling, spellbinders and pretty papers and adore using all types of sentiments stamps and stickers on my cards.

I’ve been published in Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft a few times and have a couple of cards coming up in future issues of Scrapbook Creations.

I enjoy being on the design teams for Craft Queen (Australia) and SRM Stickers (USA) and look forward to being part of Inspired By Stamping.

Emboss Resist Technique

Hi, it's my turn to host Inspired by Stamping Whoo Hoo Wednesday and I'm going to show you a simple tutorial on the emboss resist technique.

You will need:

Stamps

light colour pattern paper/cardstock

VersaMark ink

white embossing powder

heat gun

coloured inks

paper towel

Using VersaMark ink, stamp your image onto the paper/card, I used the large doily from IBS Delicate Doilies II and cover the image with the white embossing powder, tip the excess back into the pot.

Heat the image with your heat embossing tool until the image becomes glossy be careful not to overheat as the image will flatten. It doesn't look much at the moment, the magic happens once you add the ink.

Sponge over the entire image with inks or PanPastels, I chose to use TH Distress ink, once you've got the depth of colour you want, wipe over with a paper towel, to take off any ink from the glossy white image, leaving you with a beautiful sharp image that seems to pop off the paper.

Here's my finished card.

This month we are featuring all the sets on each day. So my first CAS card uses the Mason Jar Add On II! I love this set with its sweet sentiments and labels.

I used Pink Gingham and Pink Floral Washi Tape. I love this close up of how beautiful the two colors coordinate together. I also used a smaller strip of Crochet Fabric Tape.

I used some Melissa Frances polka dot paper and a Spellbinder Lacey Square Die for my center. I then cut out my label and lifted it using some dimensionals. A pink and 2 light yellow flowers were added to the corner for some extra glam.

My second card features the new Mason Jar stamp set and Mason Jar Add On II.

I gently colored my Mason Jar using Copic Markers. Crochet Fabric Tape takes center stage again with some glam on my Mason jar with some IBS flowers .

“With Love” sentiment is from the NEW Mason Jar Add On II! I then added a strip of Red Polka Dot Washi Tape and a strip of Crochet Fabric Tape. A gorgeous White Seam Binding bow was added with a blue button and a rhinestone.

My last project today was one that I shared yesterday on the video featuring the Spice Jar Stamp Set we are releasing on Friday. It’s one of my favorites and I am redoing my spice jar with these sweet labels.

This set fits perfect in a Spellbinders Labels 18 die. I dressed it up using some of the Red Gingham Washi Tape.
