IBSIC #29 - Photo Inspiration

And here is my card today!

I used the Big Treasures and Fancy Tags stamp sets for my card. So what do you think about the label die? I have some things that I am working on behind the scenes and would love some imput!

 

 I layered my sentiment with a Spellbinders Die and embossed the label too. I love the effect! 

I stitched around the edges and then added some Vintage Crochet Trim from the IBS store. I made a double bow with two colors of seam binding ribbon today. I just LOVE the bow maker that my FIL made me. The perfect bow everytime!

A CAS Card for Monday and Photos of Our Weekend

As we jump start our week, I thought I would share with you a CAS card. This card was super simple and fun!

Are you a follower Inspired by Stamping Facebook page? Get latest information, archived cards and a little what’s happening with me. I had such a blast yesterday with the family! The photo of Brad and I was a hoot! We had to take that one at least 6 times and was just cracking up laughing! I have a few shares at the bottom of my post of our day yesterday. I hope you enjoy!

I used a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 size white card base to begin my card. I then stamped the "postcard” sentiment from Vintage Postcard stamp set.

2 Cherry Blossom flowers, 2 White Rose Buds, a Pink Rose buds and some leaves created this lovely bouquet of flowers. I then took a strip of Crochet Fabric Tape and adhered the flowers to the card. A cute pink button just created that little extra something.

This lovely sentiment comes from the Cherish stamp set. I then rounded the corners and distressed the edges with brown ink.

Yesterday was Father’s Day here in Australia. We headed to the beach and had a picnic lunch with the kids. It was beautiful weather and a fun family day hanging out with the most important people in my life.

I was taking photos and my goof ball family stuck their heads out at me while taking this photo. So funny!

The Great Barrier Reef with lots of coral, fish and oysters! We saw a reef shark and a huge crab that I was too chicken to get a photo of.

While driving home, two kangaroos jumped out in front of us. One had a joey inside her pouch and ran away. The other one stopped and kept grazing and eating grass. I was able to get this photo of it before it hopped away.

A CAS thank you card

Happy Monday blog friends! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We were Weekend Warriors this weekend, unpacking the last of the boxes, washing windows and hanging photos and catching up. It is soooo wonderful to be completely moved into the house. Yay :)

This little card was suppose to go live on Saturday but the weekend just got away from me.  I hope you still enjoy it.

This week, I will be featuring CAS cards! I have some great things to share this week!

I grabbed some Kraft Paper for my card base and stitched around the edges with some chocolate colored thread. Delicate Doilies II was stamped with VersaMark and then embossed in white.

In the corner, I stamped a “thank you” sentiment from Floral Love.

I used a Spellbinder Die to cut out my center image using pink patterned scrap paper. I then added some IBS flowers to the center.

Happy Friday Sweet Friends! I originally made this card for my IBSIC card yesterday but just felt there was something missing?! What do you think? Would you classify this as a CAS card? I will let you decide…

I am off to have lunch with my hubby today! It is so wonderful to have him home and get caught up! We tried to have a date last week but that didn’t happen because we were so sick. So I am super duper excited to spend some time with him.

I used the All Year Wishes I stamp set for my “Hello” sentiment. Victorian Crochet Trim and Rosewood Satin Ribbon were added for some glam. I placed an extra large rhinestone on top of my bow.

Elegant Flowers were stamped in Rose Red ink, heat dried and then colored with Copic Markers. I then lifted them with a few little dimensionals of varying sizes.

Tip: Heat drying the ink helps stop smudging when coloring with your Copic Markers.

IBSIC #23 ~ Inspiration Photo and Blog Candy!

Hello sweet friends! How are you on this gorgeous Thursday?! Spring is in the air here today with beautiful temperatures, lovely sea breezes and birds are singing! I love this weather and it is so wonderful to feel warm weather again.

This week we are to use the colors sage, pink and creams.

• Fancy Labels 18 and Small Fancy Labels 3 were used to create my sentiment and background label.

• I used some Colonial Rose Satin Ribbon and folded it. I then cut little V’s in the edges.

• Some Princess Crochet Trim was used along the border which I stitched onto my floral card stock.

• Three IBS flowers were used for some yummy glam.

My first card features the Mason Jar and Mason Jar Add On II. Two sets that coordinate beautifully together. Plus Basic Backgrounds stamp set was used on my Mason Jar. :)

NEW! Scallop Border Crochet Trim that will be available tomorrow added a touch of whimsy to the top of my card. I also used IBS cherry blossoms, White Rose Buds and 2 Tiny Green Leaves.

Here is a close up of my Mason Jar. I stamped the background using the Basic Background I Stamp Set and then added some Glitter to the center to. I tied some hemp twine around my jar and added this sentiment. The sentiment fit perfectly inside a SU! Oval punch.

Rosewood Satin Ribbon is another NEW addition to Inspired by Stamping! LOVE this color ribbon!

My 2nd card is all about picnics and gingham. Mason Jar, Mason Jar Add On and the Spice Jar set were used on this card.

NEW! Vintage Crochet Trim will be available tomorrow. This is a larger crochet trim that measures 3cm (1-1/8”) perfect for a gorgeous border on your card.

Here is a close up of my Mason Jar. I used 4 flowers from the Mixed Flowers at the IBS Store. I also used the NEW Crochet Fabric Tape as a border along the jar.

My 3rd card features lots of IBS goodness with flowers, stamps, lace and tape!

I used the Mason Jar Add On II for my “Happy Birthday” sentiment. I also used the NEW Blue Floral Washi Tape and Cream Crochet Fabric Tape!

I cut the NEW! Victorian Crochet Trim as banners and adhered it with some tape. I then added 2 Dark Blue Medium IBS Flowers to the center.

My last card features a cute little baby boy card. Even though I don’t have a little one to send this too, I just love how the Mason jar can also be added to a baby card. :)

I used the Oh, Baby! stamp set for my “Welcome” sentiment.

I used some Scallop Crochet Trim, Blue Floral Washi Tape and Princess Crochet Trim! All NEW in the store tomorrow! :) I stamped my Mason Jar on Yellow Card Stock and then cut the lid out. I lifted my pennant with dimensionals so that it sat on top of my ribbon.

IBSIC #21 Inspiration Photo

It’s a new challenge this week over at Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge! We have a gorgeous Garden Theme challenge this week featuring greens, pinks and cream colors! I do hope you will stop by and join us! Here is my card today!

Lots of Inspired by Stamping goodies today. O I just can’t wait for next week! I used some Melissa Frances paper which matches beautiful with the Vintage Postcards.

My sentiment comes from All Year Wishes I. A pink daisy, 2 yellow flowers and tiny green leaves were in the corner of my card.

I also used some more sneak peek ribbon and crochet trim available next week! :)

On a personal note:

This morning my daughter showed me this amazing bug that was on our deck outside. I have never seen a bug with so many colors. My Mom says it looks like a smiley face upside down! I thought you would enjoy seeing it too!

Hello stamping friends! I hope you all had a beautiful relaxing weekend. We had some wonderful family time going to the beach, hanging out together and lots of relaxing. It’s the most beautiful time of the year here with temps in the 70’s and no humidity. I love this weather.

Here are a few photos of my weekend.

We spent the afternoon at the beach, lagoon and park. Airlie Beach is the hub of the Great Barrier Reef. Here you can see the Whitsunday Islands where there are 75 tropical islands.

Bathing beauties. :) I was so proud of my 7 year old reading a book. It does my heart good seeing them reading. :)

Love this sunset with all its beautiful colors. I am always amazed and grateful for God’s glory and beauty that surrounds us.

And here is today’s card using the Heartfelt Greetings and Off White Flowers. Some new crochet trim that will be available with this month’s release. I am busy updating the website and getting everything ready for next week. I’m so excited to share with you what Inspired by Stamping Design Team has been up too. Can’t wait! :)

Simple Saturday Card featuring Elegant Flowers

Today’s simple Saturday features one of my favorite stamp sets Elegant Flowers and a wee bit of coloring. ;)

I colored my flower using Copic Markers and then added some yellow and white glitter for some sparkle and glimmer. Big Notes was stamped in Brown ink above some yummy crochet trim. I then added three little pink rhinestones to balance out my card.

A little something for Friday

I woke up this morning feeling very relaxed and very excited for the weekend. Why? Because the house is complete! Whoo Hoo! It is so very quiet as I sit here on the computer typing away. Peace, quiet and a beautiful weekend to look forward too. There are only a few more boxes to unpack but we are finally done and can call home, a home now.

It was a different feeling in my crafty space too with just me, myself and I for the first time in months with no interruptions.  Just me and my favorite things. :) I look forward to the months to come creating and designing again. There is so much to be grateful for right now! I am so happy to be here. :)

Here is my card today that I created…

I’m still taking my photos outside. I love the soft light that it creates. Brad went to the hardware store yesterday and bought me all new lights but I think I will save them for a raining day. :)

I used the Daisies stamp set for my sentiment. I was working on the website last night organizing the flowers. I have a few more tweaks but love the more organized feel of finding things and the flowers. Here is a peak. :)

I added a White Daisy and two Yellow Flowers in each corner. Some new crochet trim to be released in a few weeks was added along with some shabby yellow seam binding ribbon. And of course, don’t forget some glam with lots of rhinestones.

I hope you all have a beautiful weekend. I have a Simple Saturday card to share tomorrow, so come visit tomorrow. :) This weekend we are planning on having some quiet down time and a little R&R. I may stop by to share a few little photos with you. I am hoping to hop in the truck, have a picnic lunch with the family and do a little exploring of this beautiful land of Oz.
